Purpose of the Role
A relationship-driven sales leadership position where the focus is on providing support and coaching to the Sales Representatives through living the Exim Sales Way in order to become trusted advisors to our clients and achieving sales targets. The position will report to the Branch Manager.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administering all aspects of Sales Way
2. Customer relationship management and networking
3. Sourcing of new sales leads and ensuring follow through is done
4. Goal setting and pipeline management
5. Coaching, performance management, and team oversight
6. Recruitment of Sales Representatives
7. Administrative support for the Sales Representatives
8. Effective management of slow-moving stock
9. Monitoring customer, business, and industry trends to ensure we stay relevant
10. Ongoing involvement in stock-ordering
11. Overseeing events, promotions, campaigns, wet demos
12. Reporting of product non-conformance
13. Ensuring customer satisfaction and retention
14. Assisting Sales Representatives with new product developments
15. Pricing of products and customers
16. Preparing progress reports and forecast sales
17. Ensure Sales Reps use the CRM tool (Skynamo) optimally and provide training where necessary
18. Creating, interpreting and presenting key account KPIs for sales team
19. Logistical planning with the Branch Manager to ensure customer service and sales are optimised.
Requirements
· Minimum Matric/ Grade 12 (a relevant degree would be preferable)
· Relevant Sales / Marketing / Business Management tertiary qualification advantageous
· Previous experience with the use of CRM tools / applications
· Excellent leadership and motivational skills
· Excellent communication skills on all levels internally and externally with customers
· A valid driver’s license and own reliable vehicle is essential, and must be willing to travel extensively
· A minimum of 3 – 5 years’ experience in a sales leadership position in a similar industry (wholesale, retail, butcheries, FMCG)
· Fully bilingual (Afrikaans and English)
· Driven, positive, self-motivated with a flair for motivating others
· Willing and able to share experience and industry best practice
· Fully computer literate with good administrative skills
· Passionate about customer service
· Solutions driven with strong problem solving skills
· Flexible in terms of working hours based on operational requirements
· Willing to learn new skills and continuous professional development
