Introduction

We have exciting opportunities for focused and dedicated individuals interested in the Clothing Store Manager position. Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Customer Journey:
    • Adopt a customer-centric approach.
    • Ensure rigorous application of customer service standards.
    • Attend to customer service requests, promote products and services, and adhere to VM standards, executing all plans and promotions.
  2. People Management (Assist Store Manager):
    • Manage staff-related aspects continuously.
    • Address employee shortcomings when needed.
    • Assist with recruitment according to company policies.
    • Identify and support training and development initiatives.
    • Assist with performance management, focusing on talent management and succession planning.
    • Lead and manage a team of employees.
  3. Daily Operations/Stock & Risk Management:
    • Open and lock the store following security procedures.
    • Conduct start and end of day reporting and procedures.
    • Handle administration tasks such as staff scheduling, leave, invoices, pricing, costs, floats, banking, expense control, reconciliations, CDC, and head office instructions.
    • Ensure merchandise is offloaded, recorded, packed, merchandised, and displayed per policy.
    • Monitor merchandise quality and control soilage, taking corrective actions.
    • Control shrinkage and ensure adherence to OHS standards.
  4. Sales & Promotions:
    • Promote sales to meet budgets and monitor sales, turnover, and participation.
    • Conduct promotions and implement markdowns and RTCs.
Desired Experience & Qualifications
  • Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2 years experience as an assistant manager or in a related clothing retail role.
  • Computer literacy in MS Outlook, Excel, Word, MS Teams/Zoom.
  • Willingness to work irregular hours, including evenings and weekends, and after-hours stock takes.
  • Flexibility to be relocated between stores as needed.
  • Ability to undertake physical tasks.
  • Complete an assessment.
