Description of Role
The key aspect of the coordination function is to provide clients with a single point of contact to address and project manage engagements and ongoing compliance across the Operate Business in South Africa, for multi-country clients in Africa. As a supervisor, you will be allocated a client portfolio and will be required to work with managers across the EY footprint on client engagements and support them with the overall coordination of various accounts.
Key Responsibilities:
The following are your main responsibilities:
- Coordination of Expatriate Tax, Immigration, and Payroll services for key accounts, including case management, tracking, reporting, billing, etc.
- Coordination of Tax and Accounting compliance services on engagements across the continent.
- Maintenance and administration of global EY technology tools (e.g., EY Interact, EY Mobility Pathways, GEAR, and other trackers).
- Building strong relationships with clients and colleagues worldwide.
- Being the point of contact for key accounts.
- Serving as liaison between EY offices and clients.
- Progress reporting and meeting notes, including preparation of authorization lists, compliance calendars, status reports, client reports, query trackers, billing spreadsheets, and minutes.
- Probing country teams and vendors for legislative changes and trends in Expatriate Tax, Immigration, and Payroll.
- Managing work-in-progress (WIP) and debtors.
- Assisting with proposal processes and fee gathering across Africa.
- Managing out-of-scope processes across engagements.
- Identifying scope creep early and informing teams to source additional fees where applicable.
- Attention to detail; ability to work independently and in a team.
- Managing stakeholder expectations and adhering to deadlines and KPIs, including drafting contracts for external providers, clients, and interfirm agreements.
- Curiosity to learn and grow within the coordination function and personal career development.
- Handling risk processes, including opportunity loading, PACE, linking to EY workspaces, and maintaining the GEAR system.

- Creating and maintaining a database of key information and templates to streamline processes.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Relevant degree/diploma or equivalent experience.
- Strong administrative skills.
- Experience in consular services with a proven track record.
- Knowledge of individual tax compliance and payroll is a bonus.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills.
- Proficient in business writing and communication at all organizational levels.
