A leading engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineer with a BSc/BEng in Civil Engineering and 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering consulting. The role involves designing and analyzing various projects, managing them from inception to completion, and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. Strong project management and communication skills are essential, along with proficiency in engineering software.
Key Responsibilities : Design and Analysis : Perform structural engineering design and analysis for various projects, including buildings, bridges, and other infrastructure.
Project Management : Lead and manage projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Technical Documentation : Prepare detailed technical drawings, specifications, and reports.
Site Supervision : Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
Client Liaison : Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and other project team members.
Regulatory Compliance : Ensure all designs and projects comply with relevant local and national regulations.
Mentorship : Provide guidance and mentorship to junior engineers and technical staff.Qualifications : Education : BSc / BEng degree in Civil Engineering.
Professional Registration : Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr.
Eng.)
with ECSA.
Experience : Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in structural engineering consulting, with a focus on design, project management, and contract administration.
Software Proficiency : Proficiency in engineering software such as Prokon, AutoCAD, and MS Office.
Experience with civil design software is advantageous.
Skills and Competencies : Technical Expertise : Strong technical knowledge in Civil & Structural engineering principles and practices.
Project Management : Excellent project management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation.
Communication : Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly.
