Registered Nurse (AICU Qualified / Experienced)

Introduction

A vacancy exists for Registered Nurses (AICU qualified / experienced) reporting to the Unit Manager.

The successful candidates

will be part of the multidisciplinary team, ensuring that all patients receive comprehensive, high-quality nursing care.

Critical Outputs

Effective cost management for staff and stock by:

• Minimizing unnecessary stock wastage and facilitating equipment maintenance.
• Providing quality patient care.
• Assisting in identifying and ensuring staff undergo department-specific micro-orientation.
• Ensuring daily care rounds are conducted and investigating complaints.
• Providing accurate, appropriate, and adequate information to patients and family members during hospitalization.

Providing effective risk management (SHEQ & infection control) by:

• Monitoring and implementing preventative measures to minimize risk.
• Complying with all requirements to facilitate infection control.
• Developing effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Identifying doctors’ preferences and stakeholders’ needs and implementing them in the working environment.

Requirements

• Relevant Degree or Diploma in Nursing.
• Relevant qualification or experience in specialty (ICU).
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council as a Registered Nurse.
• Two years’ experience working as a Registered Nurse in ICU in private healthcare or
• Minimum of five years’ previous experience as an EN in ICU.
