  • Ensure accurate allocation of Balance Sheet and Income Statement positions.
  • Support leadership on strategic issues and assist with financial decision-making.

Job description

Develop processes, policies, and procedures related to the allocation of transactions.

  1. Develop models that facilitate the efficient allocation of transactions to reporting areas.
  2. Draft procedures relevant to new processes implemented.

Ensure that Balance Sheet positions are accurately allocated to reporting segments, including but not limited to:

  • Advances
  • Deposits
  • Transactional Banking
  • Provisions

Ensure that Income Statement positions are accurately allocated to reporting segments, including but not limited to:

  • Income earned from advances
  • Profit paid to depositors
  • Provisions
  • Other income
  • Staff Costs
  • Other expenses

Special Projects

  • Undertakes special projects and/or assignments as requested by the bank's leadership.
  • Introduces efficiencies to streamline and enhance controls and procedures through automation and digitalisation.
  • Evaluates and improves, where necessary, the overall effectiveness of the accounting function and system.
  • Assists with financial decision-making for projects across the business, considering principles of costing, expensing, and capitalization.
  • Supports leadership on strategic issues, including involvement in the transformation committee.
  • Assists the reporting team with the development of reconciliations to improve the accuracy of financial information.

Staff Support

  • Assists other team members with queries and supports the completion of departmental tasks.
