Junior Investigator

Type: Permanent

Job Purpose

To investigate, collect, and preserve physical evidence, and prepare written reports of the investigation.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Conduct investigations on behalf of Vector Logistics into matters committed against the Company or its employees.
  2. Investigate offences committed by Company employees and contractors.
  3. Make recommendations to Management based on investigation outcomes.
  4. Review collected local intelligence data.
  5. Conduct investigations as directed by the Risk & Security Manager.
  6. Review Policies and Procedures related to security and advise Management on methods to minimize security risks.
  7. Regularly test documented security procedures for employee compliance.
  8. Follow all South African laws pertaining to the performance of duty.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
  • Grade 12 and Risk Management qualification or studying towards it (mandatory).
  • PSIRA certification.
  • No criminal convictions.
  • Ability to prepare detailed reports including recommendations for security improvements.
  • Good communication skills in English.
  • 3 years investigation experience.
  • Police background involving investigations and court proceedings.

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Unquestionable integrity.
