Job description

PBT Group has an opportunity for a Business Analyst with at least 5 years of Business Analysis experience within the banking industry. The Business Analyst will provide business analysis services to enable continuous business performance improvement, operational effectiveness, and excellence. The BA will identify and exploit business continuous improvement opportunities and related actions to mitigate risks and enhance compliance and efficiencies.

Duties :
  1. Understanding the requirements of the proposed and legacy systems.
  2. Understanding Business, Functional, and Integration requirements.
  3. Assisting in the preparation of Functional Requirements Documents (FRS) based on business analysis.
  4. Preparing work effort estimations in man-days, covering development, internal QA, SIT, and UAT.
  5. Conducting GAP analysis between legacy and proposed systems.
  6. Assisting in project planning and attending project steering committee meetings with clients and stakeholders regarding project status and deliverables.
Skills & Experience :
  1. Minimum of 5 years of business analysis and process optimization experience in process-driven environments.
  2. Experience in business case development.
  3. Experience in process mapping, re-engineering, and GAP analysis.
  4. Ability to develop, document, and maintain operational policies, procedures, detailed process flows, and develop operational performance and quality metrics.
  5. Proficiency in Excel for analysis and reporting tools development.
  6. Experience working in a corporate environment.
  7. Strong data skills and good SQL knowledge.
  8. Knowledge of reporting tools and dashboards.
  9. Understanding of AI, analytics, warehousing, and virtual warehouses.
  10. Knowledge of data integration.
  11. Experience with Agile methodologies.
Qualifications / Certification :
  1. A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, Commerce, or equivalent.
  2. Consent to data retention in accordance with the POPI Act for future career opportunities.
