Job title: (1019) Manager – Information Flow

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following key performance areas:

  1. Provide strategic and leadership direction to the division.
  2. Manage the development and performance of the team.
  3. Contribute to and implement divisional operational plans.
  4. Manage quality, facilitate delivery of outputs, clarify roles, and optimize resources.
  5. Plan work and improve workflow for the division.
  6. Suggest refinements to SARB policies, processes, and systems.
  7. Provide input to stakeholders like National Treasury and SARS for policy enhancements.
  8. Manage application processing and act as signing authority within prescribed parameters.
  9. Oversee the risk-based inspection process, including administration, leadership, and reporting.
  10. Design and maintain a management information system for reporting to senior management.
  11. Facilitate collaboration with other divisions and external stakeholders.
  12. Participate in committees and ad hoc working groups.
  13. Perform ad hoc duties and participate in special projects.
  14. Lead stakeholder engagements internally and externally.
  15. Identify and mitigate risks, ensuring governance compliance.
  16. Stay informed about market developments and regulatory changes.
Qualifications

Candidates must possess:

  • An Honours degree in Economics, Accounting, Informatics, Statistics, Finance, Banking, or an equivalent (NQF 8).
  • 8–10 years of relevant experience in exchange control, banking, financial markets, or a related regulatory environment.
  • At least two years of experience managing teams.
