NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT / SALES: GUARDING DIVISION

Position: New Business Development Representative

Location: Cape Town Branch

The New Business Development department is seeking to employ a New Business Development Representative. The primary purpose of this role is to seek new business opportunities through networks, build and maintain strong client relationships, and grow the existing client base by offering comprehensive end-to-end integrated risk mitigation solutions.

The incumbent will be responsible for designing, costing, proposing, and presenting complex integrated security solutions to both existing and new clients, covering the full spectrum of the group's offerings, including commercial and security solutions.

Minimum Requirements
  1. Sales diploma or equivalent qualifications.
  2. Proven sales experience with a successful track record.
  3. At least 5 years of sales experience in a similar role.
  4. PSIRA Grading (advantageous).
  5. 2-4 years of sales experience in security (preferably).
  6. Fully bilingual; additional languages are an advantage.
  7. Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  8. Ability to work under pressure and extended hours if required.
  9. Experience in the security industry is a distinct advantage.
  10. Proficiency in MS Office suite (including advanced Excel and PowerPoint).
  11. Professional appearance and conduct.
  12. Clear criminal record and no pending cases.
  13. Valid driver's license and reliable transport.
  14. Willingness to travel and reside within the Cape Town area.
Key Responsibilities
  1. Accountability for client growth and increasing turnover through existing and new clients.
  2. Achieving sales targets and revenue goals.
  3. Securing profitable new business via cold calling and other methods.
  4. Conducting site surveys and designing security solutions.
  5. Preparing and presenting complex proposals and quotations in a timely manner.
  6. Building and maintaining professional client relationships.
  7. Planning, budgeting, and coordinating client requirements.
  8. Assisting with marketing initiatives and preparing management reports.
  9. Gaining in-depth knowledge of trade and competitors.
  10. Ensuring accurate completion of contracts and quotations, including technical documentation.
  11. Identifying new sales opportunities and maximizing market growth.
  12. Maintaining professionalism and adhering to company policies regarding equipment sales.
