Our client, a leading international automotive retail group, is looking for a Finance Manager to oversee and improve financial operations within the Motor Industry. This role is key to maintaining financial strategy, ensuring best practices are followed, and supporting the business's financial health.

POSITION INFO : Job Overview :

An opportunity has arisen for a Finance Manager to oversee and refine the financial operations within the Motor Industry. This role is integral to driving the financial strategy, ensuring adherence to best practices, and contributing to the overall financial health of the business. The successful candidate will be responsible for the end-to-end management of financial processes, compliance, and reporting, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across all financial activities.

Qualifications and Experience :

• A finance-related degree is required.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar financial management role.
• Motor Industry experience is non-negotiable .
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial controls, and tax regulations.
• Proven ability to analyse financial data, resolve accounting issues, and deliver detailed reports.

Key Responsibilities :

• Develop and implement financial strategies and standard operating procedures (SOPs) within the scope of responsibility.
• Manage the financial reporting process, including the preparation of management accounts, budgets, cash flows, and variance analysis.
• Ensure all financial reconciliations are accurately completed and reviewed, addressing any discrepancies promptly.
• Oversee risk management and mitigation efforts, ensuring compliance with governance processes and reducing potential liabilities.
• Supervise the financial aspects of operations, including billing, payments, debt management, and asset security.
• Prepare and submit VAT returns and ensure compliance with all relevant tax regulations.
• Drive cost-saving initiatives and identify opportunities to enhance revenue streams.
• Manage relationships with stakeholders and ensure high standards of customer service.
• Lead and develop the finance team, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
