Job description

Position Overview:

The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting electrical and mechanical services and maintenance of machines on site, ensuring preventive and predictive maintenance, faultfinding, and handling machine breakdowns and repairs.

Key responsibilities include maintaining accurate maintenance records, implementing manufacturer modifications and updates, managing spare parts inventory, overseeing contractors, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance job cards.

The role also involves ensuring the efficient operation of plant machinery and equipment, assisting with new installations and upgrades, performing mechanical and electrical tasks, conducting regular inspections, and carrying out standby duties.

The candidate must report any risks related to Quality and Food Safety where food contact products are produced, and promote awareness of Quality, Food Safety, Environmental, and Health and Safety standards. Housekeeping and maintaining a tidy environment are also essential.

Requirements:

• Millwright Qualification
• 0-6 months of relevant industry experience
• Experience with Computer Control Systems on machines
• Experience working with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Hands-on experience managing a busy engineering department
• Good administrative skills with attention to detail
• Aged between 18 and 34
• Medically fit
• Must not have participated in the YES Programme previously
• Residency in Cosmo City, Diepsloot, Randburg, Roodepoort, Krugersdorp, or surrounding areas
