Job description

Lasec SA is seeking a dynamic individual to join our industrial division based in our Cape Town head office, focusing on selling our safety and process quality control products into the manufacturing sector focussing on customers in South African and sub-Saharan Africa.

Requirements that must be met:

  • At least 2 years practical experience working in manufacturing or industrial environment or dealing with an industrial client base.
  • Preference for candidate with engineering, industrial safety or project management background.
  • Tertiary education degree/diploma.
  • Ability to function independently, and as part of a team.
  • Must have the ability to produce results while working with multiple projects under tight deadlines.
  • A good understanding and working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written in English which is the primary business language.
  • A valid driver’s license.

Summary of duties and responsibilities:

  • Business development activities to sell and build relationships with our targeted customer base.
  • Use initiative, research and available resources to provide technical support and product recommendations to sales teams and customers for queried products.
  • Support demand planning and purchasing strategy.
  • Build, develop and/or maintain positive supplier relations for allocated products.

Remuneration will be discussed at final interview stage.
