Network Finance Treasury Manager Role

Job Summary:

This challenging role involves leading cutting-edge treasury projects and establishing best practices in liquidity risk management, capital management, and treasury governance. As a key member of our team, you will work with clients to deliver high-quality services and expand our presence in the banking sector.

Duties & Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  1. Managing liquidity risk, including stress testing, funds transfer pricing, and regulatory compliance such as LCR, NSFR, and Basel III regulations.
  2. Addressing interest rate risk in the banking book, including NII and EVE sensitivity, and CSRBB.
  3. Overseeing capital management, including ICAAP.
  4. Conducting forecasting, stress testing, and defining risk appetite.
  5. Implementing treasury best practices and controls.

This role requires ongoing skills development due to changing regulations and market conditions. It also provides exposure to the insurance and corporate sectors.

Job Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A CA(SA) or degree/honours/masters in Risk Management, Mathematics or Statistics.
  • CFA/FRM/PRM certification is preferable.
  • At least 5 years of experience in treasury/liquidity risk roles, preferably in a bank environment.
  • Strong understanding of financial instruments and their use in risk management.
  • Familiarity with pricing models and common risk metrics (sensitivities, stress tests, VaR, LCR, NSFR).
  • Liquidity risk management, funding, and funds transfer pricing expertise.
  • Governance and controls knowledge, including policy and procedure documentation.
