Location: ZAF - Kempton Park, Serengeti Blvd (DSV Park Gauteng)
Job Posting Title: Business Implementation Manager - EDI, API & Project Management (Fixed Term Position)
Time Type: Full Time

Main Purpose of The Role:
  • Liaise with Customer & Service Provider, Account owner, and IT to deliver EDI/API integration projects on time and within KPI.
  • Review and validate customer requirements and submit Business Request Form.
  • Define To-Be Process (process mapping) and develop Internal Operating Procedures and manuals with Key Account Manager teams for operational use.
  • Develop User Acceptance Tests and ensure execution and sign-off.
  • Facilitate system training for operations on customer-specific processes.
  • Implement EDI/API integration with support from Customer Integration Office.
  • Act as the first escalation point to management for Customer Integration Office.
  • Manage and adhere to all defined KPIs to avoid penalties and additional costs on integration projects.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Experience: 6-8 years in Business Analysis, Consulting, or related Systems role, with a focus on EDI/API integrations.
  • Strong project management skills and self-management ability.
  • Proven customer engagement experience in a front-facing role.
  • Industry Knowledge: Freight Forwarding or Logistics experience is a plus.
  • Candidates in current Freight Forwarding roles with technical acumen and customer integration experience may be considered.
Qualifications:

Matric (essential). Industry-level or tertiary qualification advantageous.

Computer Packages:

Solid understanding of EDI/API technologies, forwarding-related TMS or customer visibility platforms, and ERP systems is advantageous.

Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Support business/sales during tender/RFQ processes related to customer integration.
  • Be the first point of contact for local business and sales when integration or adjustments are requested.
  • Collect documentation and test files from customers, including message instruction guides, sample files, and schemas.
  • Collect operational requirements and start the integration process by submitting BRF.
  • Support and align with IT to create Customer Scope Document (CSD) and obtain customer sign-off.
  • Define test scenarios and create reference shipments for all messages.
  • Support IT during BRD and EDI specification creation and sign-off before development.
  • Participate in integration planning with relevant teams.
  • Ensure all approvals are obtained timely and stakeholders are aligned.
  • Act as escalation point for Customer Integration Office.
  • Support IT during integration testing and ensure UAT scenarios are prepared.
  • Execute UAT with support, and obtain sign-off with proper documentation.
  • Develop processes, procedures, and work instructions; facilitate and document hypercare meetings.
  • Raise tickets for technical issues during hypercare and act as first contact post-go-live for troubleshooting.
  • Provide full support for post go-live customer integrations.
