About the Role:


Serve as the technical subject matter expert for the administration, configuration, and maintenance of assigned platforms to ensure data integrity, compliance, and high levels of customer satisfaction.

Provide technical support, analyze system workflows, and lead configuration changes, ensuring alignment with business needs and best practices.

Perform detailed system analysis, participate in user acceptance testing, and support the training of end-users.


Key Responsibilities may include:

  • Monitor and enhance platform performance to optimize end-user experience and improve overall business process workflows.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements, assess platform capabilities, and convey system limitations and opportunities for improvement.
  • Design, configure, and document platform enhancements, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to best practices.
  • Oversee development and testing processes, including unit testing, user acceptance testing, integration testing, and regression testing, to ensure successful implementation.
  • Identify and implement system and process improvements to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and data quality.
  • Troubleshoot user requests, addressing technical issues related to workflows, security, and interfaces to support problem resolution.
  • Create test scripts, participate in user acceptance testing, and develop training materials to assist with end-user training and adoption.
  • Share expert functional and technical knowledge to improve team competence and ensure smooth platform operations.

As the Automation Process Specialist, you will serve as the technical subject matter expert for our business platforms, collaborating closely with global stakeholders, lead platform enhancements, support end-user adoption, and identify opportunities to drive smarter, faster, and more compliant ways of working across the organization.

Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate processes and make recommendations with regards to their potential and suitability for Robotic Process Automation (RPA) as well as the work effort estimation within controllership and the wider finance team.
  • Define and plan the development approach for larger projects through to smaller developments factoring in the existing RPA programme and future development opportunities into the solution design
  • Create and maintain throughout the project lifecycle, the Solution Design Document (SDD) including detailed RPA solution process flows and process and technical specifications
  • Design and develop Blue Prism process solutions in accordance with standard Blue Prism design principles and conventions as well as development best practice
  • Apply agile practices and principles to maximise business value and continuously improve the delivery of customer outcomes
  • Work within project planning constraints, communicating any identified project risks and issues to the RPA lead accordingly
  • Drive Blue Prism solutions through test, change management, and production readiness cycles, providing operational and change management support for all RPA developments
  • Assure the quality of the automation (QA processes)
  • Support the RPA lead in the creation and ongoing refinement of an appropriately tailored framework that provides optimum platform for rapid and repeatable delivery of automated processes within the organization
  • Manage the virtual workforce, maintaining deployed robotics capabilities, business volume scaling, load balancing and allocation of software robots to meet agreed SLAs with business units
  • Lead the investigation and detailed analysis of RPA Incidents and process exceptions including a strategic approach to root cause analysis
  • Develop and maintain comprehensive and detailed technical / procedural documentation.

Qualifications Required

  • B-Com/B-Tech degree

Experience

  • 3+ years’ experience in Financial Accounting or Financial Planning & Analysis role preferred, with RPA experience essential.
  • Previous experience in working with a global finance team associated with geographically diverse businesses beneficial.
  • Experience developing and implementing automated Blue Prism processes as an accredited Blue Prism developer or suitable wider development experience essential
  • Experience working in a global environment preferred
  • Experience in public company or foreign listed company multinational environment beneficial.
  • IFRS experience beneficial.
  • PowerBI experience beneficial
  • Experience working with Alteryx or similar is beneficial

Skills and Knowledge Required

  • Awareness of FP&A, Commercial and Supply Chain Finance processes
  • Computerized Information Systems
  • Advanced Excel – including Power Query, VBA, Pivot Tables & linked files
  • Business Process & Profit Centre Assessment Methodology
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal skills
  • Solid understanding of multi-currency finance environments
  • A person with good people management skills, a team player, who is organized, systematic, accurate, self-motivated, being able to do research on new ways of working and able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, would be most effective in this position.
