As part of SanlamConnect, Succession Financial Planning (SFP) is a financial services provider focused on Registered Financial Advisers (RFAs), aiming to grow a professional practice while offering holistic financial planning. SFP is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the Sanlam Group.

What will you do?

Promote, monitor, and drive the effective adherence to compliance and risk management within SFP/AFP by managing a team of compliance specialists and administrators. Your responsibilities will include understanding relevant legislation, training staff, monitoring practices, managing risks, and ensuring compliance across the unit. You will also build relationships within the financial services compliance arena, conduct field audits, and manage a team overseeing advice and risk compliance.

What will make you successful in this role?

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Appropriate formal legal qualification
  • Product Class of Business knowledge and accreditation
  • Compliance qualification
  • CFP/RFP3 (preferable)
  • Financial services experience, including distribution/sales
  • Strong management experience
  • Legal or business development background (optional)
  • Strong administration and systems background

Knowledge and Skills:

  • MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
  • Compliance tools (e.g., ALPHA, RITA)
  • Regulatory knowledge (FAIS, FICA, Money Laundering)
  • Audit and forensic practices
  • Risk management policies and practices
