Position Overview

Do you love working outside? Do you love the water? As part of the talented Freedom Boat Club Operations team, the Dock Master greets members and works on the docks.

We are looking for customer-focused, friendly, and upbeat individuals. This position is part-time and requires availability on weekdays, weekends, and holidays.

Essential Functions
  1. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards.
  2. Anticipate and address guests' service needs.
  3. Thank guests with genuine appreciation.
  4. Make and answer telephone calls using appropriate etiquette.
  5. Manage the check-in and check-out process using a handheld tablet.
  6. Perform equipment checks to ensure all necessary equipment is on board.
  7. Clean and maintain vessels and the club location according to company standards.
  8. Complete daily clerical work, including reservation logs, fuel logs, and weather reports.
  9. Familiarize yourself with local waters to provide basic guidance to members.
  10. Speak with others using clear and professional language.
  11. Ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional.
  12. Follow all company policies and procedures.
  13. Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information.
  14. Perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors.

Required Qualifications
  • Pass a background check and drug screen.
  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.
  • High school diploma.
  • At least 18 years of age.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to maintain a calm, positive attitude during periods of high activity.
  • Ability to read and manipulate handheld tablets.
  • Positive, cooperative attitude with the capability of working unsupervised.
  • Adhere to all safety policies.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in or around boats.
Working Conditions

Work outside in the elements, standing for extended periods. Be comfortable with physical demands, including bending, kneeling, balancing, and carrying equipment up to 25 pounds. Work in a marina setting on docks that may be fixed or floating, near and on the water, during various tide and weather conditions.

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated pay rate for this position is $13/hr. This role is eligible for Brunswick benefits, including a 401(k) plan with up to 4% match, wellbeing programs, and product discounts.
