Job Description: Logistics and Supply Chain Manager
Qualifications:
- Degree or Diploma in Road Transport, Logistics, Warehousing, or Management with financial electives
- 5-7 years experience in a Logistics and Supply Chain management environment, including Warehousing and Distribution
- Over 5 years experience in strategic planning for complex tasks
- Knowledge of Logistics, Supply Chain, and Warehousing Management
- Experience with ad-hoc/open market logistics and Warehousing
- Knowledge of fuel management, equipment maintenance, and vehicle management
- Understanding of expense management and budgeting
- Strong management and communication skills
- Familiarity with policies, procedures, and contracts in supply chain management
- Knowledge of relevant labor agreements and KPIs
- Availability to manage operations 24/7
Responsibilities:
- Manage operational processes, contracts, and services effectively
- Develop and maintain operational procedures
- Ensure smooth warehouse operations and inventory management, including FIFO
- Oversee routing, scheduling, and vehicle management to meet delivery targets
- Maintain vehicle and equipment security and safety standards
- Monitor fuel usage, vehicle downtime, and route efficiency
- Ensure compliance with loading/unloading procedures and safety standards
- Manage vehicle and staff allocations, inspections, and site-specific requirements
- Handle customer relationships, KPI reporting, and service quality assurance
- Oversee financial management, including cost control, forecasting, and asset management
- Manage safety, health, environment, and quality standards
- Develop and monitor employee performance, training, and HR procedures
