Job Description

The Production Department currently has a vacancy for an attentive to detail, self-motivated, and dedicated individual to join their team in the Production department.

The Duties And Responsibilities Will Include

1. Conducting mechanical inspections on all production machinery on an ongoing basis.
2. Ensuring compliance and adherence to the Production department driven and static machinery.
3. Conducting quality inspections on machines and on all checklists completed by operators.
4. Attending breakdowns when required on all Production machinery.
5. Training operators on pre-inspection checklists of machines.
6. Liaising with the engineering department for all breakdowns.
7. Adhering to the regulations as set out in the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
8. Taking responsibility for the administration of all above responsibilities.

Qualifying Criteria

1. Qualified Fitter Artisan/ Diesel Mechanic (Red Seal certification).
2. Code 14 Drivers License would be advantageous.
3. Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a Qualified Technician specializing in moving machinery.
4. Computer literate (MS Word, MS Excel).
5. Minimum 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing industry or similar environment.
6. Must be physically fit and able to work at heights and in confined spaces.
