Job description

ROLE PURPOSE

To contribute to the process of refining and enhancing, on an ongoing basis, the current and future sales and marketing strategy.

MAIN OUTPUTS
Sales
  • Actively search, pursue, and engage potential clients
  • Maintain knowledge of existing contracts and participate in weekly meetings with the Regions General Manager & Operations Manager
  • Manage the compilation and, where necessary, draft high-quality proposals, bids, and tender responses
  • Follow up and survey leads generated through various channels and cold calling
  • Ensure tenders and bids are responded to professionally, timely, and in compliance with requirements
  • Engage and manage strategic suppliers providing solutions and commercial content for proposals, bids, and tenders
  • Identify weaknesses in the sales process and address them
  • Follow up on cancelled contracts
  • Implement and manage strategic initiatives to meet and exceed annual growth targets, increasing the company's market share
  • Achieve monthly sales budgets by implementing and maintaining effective marketing and sales strategies
Marketing
  • Identify new growth opportunities by market segments
  • Utilize the full marketing mix for the company's marketing communications
  • Promote sister companies such as Steiner Hygiene, TopTurf, etc.
Reporting
  • Provide comprehensive sales and marketing reports on a weekly and monthly basis
QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

The applicant must meet the following requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or National Diploma in Sales, Business Development, or Marketing
  • Matric (Senior Certificate)
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Minimum of 3 years’ solid experience in Business Development and best practices within the sales environment
  • Strong sales and marketing knowledge, ideally within the services industry
  • Proficiency in MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook
