This role is responsible for being the point of contact between the company and brokers / insurers through networking and building effective relationships.
The incumbent will maintain and grow a strong client base with brokers, insurers, and related stakeholders to ensure continuous development of new business and retention of current business.
Additionally, the role involves seeking new business opportunities to meet sales targets, maintaining a healthy pipeline, and performing industry analysis to identify benchmarks, with regular client meetings and reporting.
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum : Grade 12 or equivalent NQF level 4
Preferred : Degree in Business Management
EXPERIENCE
4+ years of broker management / client liaison experience.
Proven sales track record with targets achieved over at least 4 years.
Experience managing three or more key customer accounts and / or departments.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Generate new sales leads and acquire new clients.
Build brand awareness and reputation as the key contact for top clients.
Demonstrate extensive knowledge of short-term insurance packages to evaluate client interests and identify information gaps.
Maintain and grow relationships with brokers, insurers, and stakeholders for business development and retention.
Identify new business opportunities and maintain a pipeline for future deals.
Respond to client inquiries and complaints.
Increase product footprint in the short-term insurance industry.
Analyze brokers' target markets, product focus, and geographic reach.
Position against competitors through industry knowledge.
Identify brokerage needs, processes, and product requirements.
Package tailored products and solutions for brokers' target markets.
Conduct monthly communication and reporting, highlighting product benefits and updates.
Implement business development and retention campaigns, measuring outcomes.
Develop marketing plans to outperform competitors and analyze industry strategies regularly.
Negotiate with intermediaries on business levels and service requirements.
Promote solutions through presentations and training.
Manage marketing initiatives to secure profitable new business.
Provide training to brokers and insurers to enhance their product understanding.
Manage client queries, ensuring tracking and resolution.
Report on service delivery and client targets.
Perform additional duties as assigned in the company's interest.
