Job Description

Our client, an investment company with interests in Hospitality and Food & Beverage, is seeking a skilled and experienced Bookkeeper to join their team.

The Bookkeeper will manage financial operations, maintain accurate records, handle accounts payable and receivable, reconcile bank statements, process payroll, and ensure compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Reporting directly to the Financial Controller, responsibilities include:
  • Financial Record Maintenance: Recording daily financial transactions and postings.
  • Accounts Payable and Receivable: Managing and reconciling these accounts.
  • Bank Reconciliation: Regularly reconciling bank statements for accuracy.
  • Payroll Processing: Calculating wages, withholding taxes, and managing direct deposits.
  • Financial Reporting: Preparing financial statements and reports.
  • Expense Tracking: Monitoring and reporting company expenses.
  • Data Entry: Entering financial data into accounting software and maintaining organized records.
  • Audit Preparation: Assisting with audits and coordinating with auditors.
  • Administrative Support: Supporting the finance department and other teams as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications and Skills

  • At least 5 years of bookkeeping or accounting experience.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and MS Office, especially Excel.
  • High accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Strong ethics and integrity.
  • Ability to resolve discrepancies and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in English.
