Purpose Statement
- To provide end-user technology support to all users (clients) at Campus, Branches, Regional Offices, and roaming users of Capitec Bank across all geographic regions.
- To assume responsibility for repairing faulty equipment, logging incidents with vendors/suppliers, and proposing solutions to prevent re-occurrence.
Experience
Minimum:
- 3 - 5 years’ experience in a corporate technical support environment.
- 3 years' knowledge of Microsoft hardware and software technology.
- Basic knowledge of diagnostic principles and troubleshooting.
- Client relationship management practices and principles.
- Note: Dependent on business requirements, the specified experience may be subject to change.
Ideal:
- 5+ years’ experience in an IT operational environment, including at least 3 years in a banking environment.
- Vendor relationship management experience.
Qualifications (Minimum)
- A relevant qualification in Information Technology - Technical Support or Computer Science.
Qualifications (Ideal or Preferred)
- Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology - Technical Support or Computer Science.
Knowledge
Minimum:
- Knowledge of a corporate support environment.
- Knowledge of Microsoft hardware and software technology.
- Basic diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Client relationship management practices.
Ideal:
- Knowledge of support in both corporate and supplier environments.
- Knowledge of Apple hardware and software technology.
- Advanced diagnostic and troubleshooting skills.
- Understanding of SCCM principles.
- Vendor relationship management.
Skills
- Effective communication skills.
- Interpersonal and relationship management skills.
- Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook).
- Analytical skills.
- Negotiation skills.
