Position: Consumer Offers Manager

Location: City of Johannesburg, Gauteng, South Africa

We are seeking an experienced Consumer Offers Manager to oversee work with credits, microfinancing instruments, and trade-in programs.

The role involves dealing with fintech companies, banks, and vendors' affordability teams.

The ideal candidate must have a sharp mind to create, develop, and manage financing programs in collaboration with bank executives and reseller partners.

Key responsibilities:
  1. Develop financial partnerships with local banks and financial institutions to enable consumers to afford high-end electronics.
  2. Negotiate special rates and products with financial institutions to boost consumer sales.
  3. Collaborate with and lead a team of affordability experts, both directly and virtually.
  4. Initiate and execute affordability campaigns for B2B and B2C RTMs.
  5. Identify and structure propositions for channel partners to leverage and run these programs regularly, driving product demand.
  6. Ensure program quality aligns with vendor standards and guidelines.
  7. Benchmark industry best practices and propose new financial initiatives and partnerships to stimulate sales.
Qualifications and skills:
  • Experience in financial services division of a company or financial institution (3+ years).
  • Bachelor of Commerce or similar qualification.
  • Proven track record in developing consumer finance propositions in banks and non-banking financial institutions.
  • Deep understanding of the payment schemes' commercial value chain.
  • Experience with consumer credit products such as personal loans, durables finance, and auto lending programs.
  • Ability to negotiate with banks leveraging asset and liability analysis.
  • Experience delivering channel-based consumer finance programs across multiple territories, including emerging markets.
  • Knowledge in developing credit scorecards and modeling for asset book optimization.
  • Broad experience in channel-driven sales organizations.
  • Strategic thinking regarding consumer finance in disruptive environments.
  • Excellent attention to detail and program quality.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Exposure to reward, loyalty, and co-brand products in banking is preferred.
  • Knowledge of e-commerce and digital lending is preferred.
  • Experience with carrier affordability propositions is a plus.
