Job Description

Candidates located in CA, WA, and OR will be considered.

We are looking for a talented engineer to join our Energy Projects team as a Senior Energy Engineer. You will support the development and delivery of retrofit energy efficiency and electrification design-build projects by providing engineering schematic design, energy calculations, measurement and verification, and technical assistance. You will also lead the development of technical strategies for existing commercial building project opportunities, conduct energy savings analysis, and perform commissioning (Cx) or retro-commissioning (RCx) work. Additionally, this position will support our business development efforts and proactively seek new project opportunities.

Here at CLEAResult, you will fit right in with our team if you are resourceful, resilient, and kind.

For this opportunity, you’re a great fit if you can:

  • Perform ASHRAE Level II and III audits unassisted to assess energy systems at commercial facilities
  • Provide cost-effective energy efficiency measure (EEM) recommendations that modify HVAC systems or optimize O&M procedures to increase energy efficiency and reduce environmental impact
  • Scope significant engineering work such as design schematics, key mechanical equipment selection, and control strategies
  • Calculate EEM energy savings using standard engineering principles including physics, mechanics, fan laws, thermodynamics, algebra, and statistics
  • Collaborate effectively with other engineers, project managers, subcontractors, vendors, and facility managers to ensure successful project implementation
  • Deliver Cx to ensure implemented EEMs function as designed and lead RCx to improve HVAC performance of existing buildings
  • Prepare detailed project reports outlining recommendations, findings, and progress

To apply for this exciting career opportunity, you will have:

  • 8+ years of professional experience in energy-related services
  • A strong HVAC systems background, including controls and energy-efficient technologies and practices; design-build retrofit energy project experience and ITAC (previously IAC) experience are pluses
  • BS degree in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, or a related field
  • CEM or CMVP certification preferred
  • PE license required

Target Compensation: $140,000.00 USD

Compensation Range: $98,000.00 - $147,100.00 USD

Currency: USD
