Product Manager (Tourism) required in Cape Town

Leading Destination Management Company is seeking an experienced Product Manager to maintain, develop, and discover product offerings for FIT, Groups, and MICE requirements, intrinsically linked with each step of the Customer Journey.

Experience required:

• Experience within the inbound tourism industry
• Proficiency in MS Office and Tourplan
• Experience with contracting and product development
• Excellent knowledge of Southern and Eastern Africa products
• Strong negotiation and relationship management skills

Duties include:

• Increase profitability
• Negotiate, manage, and follow up on rates, overrides, and brochure contributions
• Conduct regular analysis of existing contracting processes
• Negotiate with suppliers for the best rates and conditions
• Research new products actively
• Establish, maintain, and optimize relationships with suppliers
• Research properties and special offers
• Support sales, systems, and reservations teams with contracting requirements and queries
