Job Description

The role involves providing advice on a specific range of financial products to a designated market segment. The advisor is responsible for achieving sales targets through their own efforts.

Responsibilities

  1. Customer Service: Provide quality service, identify new business opportunities, support retention, process cases, handle complex queries, and resolve customer issues.
  2. Solutions Analysis: Analyze problems to find suitable solutions, whether technical or professional.
  3. Receiving Visitors: Welcome visitors, assist with requests, and refer complex matters to colleagues.
  4. Customer Relationship Management (CRM): Schedule follow-ups, document interactions, and maintain quality data for effective customer retention and business growth.
  5. Customer Needs Clarification: Set objectives, tailor presentations, ask relevant questions to gauge interest, and identify areas needing further information.
  6. Customer Relationship Development / Prospecting: Develop plans to build relationships with decision-makers and influencers within potential client organizations.
  7. Operational Compliance: Understand and adhere to organizational policies, procedures, and relevant regulations; seek approval for exceptions.
  8. Business Development: Monitor sales and market data to identify growth opportunities within specific regions.
  9. Sales Opportunities Creation: Build a professional network, participate in sector events, gather market intelligence, and enhance organizational visibility.
  10. Data Exploration: Conduct research using primary data sources and business intelligence tools to analyze trends and themes.
  11. Network of Influence: Engage in networking to leverage relationships, technologies, and ideas inside and outside the organization.

Requirements: Skills, Qualifications and Experience

  • Grade 12 (Matric)
  • Valid Driver’s license and own vehicle
  • FAIS Compliance (NQF Level 5 FSCA Approved Qualification)
  • Clean criminal and credit checks
  • Minimum 3 years sales experience
  • Computer literacy (MS Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Presentation skills are advantageous
