Job description

Tangent International is urgently seeking multiple Radio Field Mentors for 3 to 6 month rolling contracts based in South Africa (Bloemfontein & Eastern Cape).

Job Description

Roles & Responsibilities:

1. Attend site visits with ASP teams for training and coaching.
2. Address the identified gaps by ASP Mentors during theoretical and practical training.
3. Provide daily progress reports to the ASP Manager and ASP Mentor.
4. Assess site readiness with the ASP team (Civil Work & Power work).
5. Verify site survey data on-site.
6. Ensure team lead verifies material delivery with SMR and report deviations.
7. Ensure team completes EHS pre-work checks promptly.
8. Ensure site installation adheres to MoPs prepared by ASP Mentor and meets Ericsson and customer quality standards.

Background and Experience

Radio Knowledge:

1. Strong EHS experience, including Working At Heights, Rope Access, Fall Arrest, and Rigging.
2. Experience with RBS 6000 installation.
3. Proficiency in RBS 6000 (2G/3G/LTE) script loading, alarm clearance, and fault finding.
4. Transmission knowledge (preferable).
5. RF installation, fault finding, and testing (VSWR/DTF, etc.).
6. Civil background and quality assurance.
7. Technical Site Surveys and TSSR.
8. Site surveying and planning skills.
9. Knowledge of telecommunications equipment installation standards.
10. Basic software commissioning skills.
