Job Location : Western Cape, Cape Town

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to DC.
  • Conduct routine inspections of electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify potential issues.
  • Perform preventive maintenance tasks to ensure the optimal performance of electrical systems.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems and perform repairs in a timely manner to minimize downtime.
  • Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, fixtures, and equipment.
  • Test electrical systems and components to ensure proper functioning and compliance with safety standards.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address electrical-related issues and support ongoing operations.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and regulations at all times to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Provide feedback on breakdowns.
  • Overtime support when needed.
  • Control of stock and critical spares.
  • Adhere to all safe working procedures.
  • Perform inspection of various H&S required registers.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 Years Technical or maintenance experience with a strong knowledge of conveyors and motors.
  • Red seal trade test certificate.
  • PLC knowledge and programming.
  • Relevant technical qualifications or certification in electrical engineering or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, components, and wiring diagrams.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting electrical problems and performing repairs.
  • Familiarity with electrical codes, regulations, and safety standards.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
  • Good communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues and management.
  • Required to work flexible hours and respond to emergency situations as needed.
