We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a proven track record in plant maintenance and a strong focus on preventative maintenance implementation.

The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree, along with a GCC Factories qualification and a GMR2 appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Boilers and Hydraulics.

Requirements:

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Not negotiable.
• 10 years' maintenance experience within the manufacturing industry.
• 5 years' experience in a management role.
• Experience in boilers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
• Expertise in maintenance planning, scheduled maintenance, and successful plant shutdowns.
• Strong leadership in driving preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
• Ability to optimise plant reliability and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
• Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Systems.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Maintenance Strategy and Execution

• Develop and implement robust maintenance strategies, including planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance tailored to the plant's needs.
• Ensure the efficient functioning of manufacturing equipment.
• Minimise downtime through quick response and effective troubleshooting.
• Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
• Manage installation, commissioning, and repair of equipment.
• Fulfil succession planning as per group engineer requirements, GCC credentials, and GMR2.
• Plan projects and production shutdowns.

Team Leadership and Management

• Supervise and lead a team of maintenance personnel.
• Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet maintenance objectives.
• Train, mentor, and evaluate team members for high performance and skills development.

Budgeting and Resource Management

• Manage the maintenance department budget.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
• Analyze costs and implement cost recovery strategies.
• Appoint project teams and manage subcontracts.

Performance Monitoring and Reporting

• Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and system performance.
• Manage service delivery for utilities like electricity, steam, and water.
• Analyze job card data to improve scheduling.
• Monitor equipment performance and reliability.
• Implement time and task-specific schedules (OEE).

Compliance and Safety

• Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure safety and compliance with HSE regulations.
• Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
• Maintain documentation for standards and regulations compliance.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify and adopt new technologies or processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with other departments to support production.
• Participate in projects to integrate maintenance requirements effectively.
