We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager with a proven track record in plant maintenance and a strong focus on preventative maintenance implementation.
The ideal candidate will have a Mechanical Engineering Degree, along with a GCC Factories qualification and a GMR2 appointment. Preference will be given to candidates with experience in Boilers and Hydraulics.

Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering - Not negotiable.
- 10 years' maintenance experience within the manufacturing industry.
- 5 years' experience in a management role.
- Experience in boilers, pneumatics, and hydraulics.
- Expertise in maintenance planning, scheduled maintenance, and successful plant shutdowns.
- Strong leadership in driving preventative and predictive maintenance strategies.
- Ability to optimise plant reliability and efficiency in a manufacturing environment.
- Knowledge of Mechanical, Electrical, and Control Systems.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Maintenance Strategy and Execution
- Develop and implement robust maintenance strategies, including planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance tailored to the plant's needs.
- Ensure the efficient functioning of manufacturing equipment.
- Minimise downtime through quick response and effective troubleshooting.
- Develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules.
- Manage installation, commissioning, and repair of equipment.
- Fulfil succession planning as per group engineer requirements, GCC credentials, and GMR2.
- Plan projects and production shutdowns.
Team Leadership and Management
- Supervise and lead a team of maintenance personnel.
- Assign tasks and monitor progress to meet maintenance objectives.
- Train, mentor, and evaluate team members for high performance and skills development.
Budgeting and Resource Management
- Manage the maintenance department budget.
- Negotiate contracts with suppliers and service providers.
- Analyze costs and implement cost recovery strategies.
- Appoint project teams and manage subcontracts.
Performance Monitoring and Reporting
- Prepare and present reports on maintenance activities and system performance.
- Manage service delivery for utilities like electricity, steam, and water.
- Analyze job card data to improve scheduling.
- Monitor equipment performance and reliability.
- Implement time and task-specific schedules (OEE).
Compliance and Safety
- Conduct risk assessments and implement corrective actions.
- Ensure safety and compliance with HSE regulations.
- Lead incident investigations and corrective actions.
- Maintain documentation for standards and regulations compliance.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify and adopt new technologies or processes to enhance efficiency and reduce costs.
- Collaborate with other departments to support production.
- Participate in projects to integrate maintenance requirements effectively.
