QUALITY CONTROLLER

We are seeking an experienced, dedicated Quality Control Technician to join our team.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you will maintain quality standards by approving incoming materials, in-process production, finished products, and recording the results.

Excellent communication skills and keen attention to detail are essential.

Responsibilities

1. Implement and maintain the quality management system.
2. Ensure efficiency and productivity of the plant, with ongoing improvements.
3. Manage maintenance of the plant.
4. Drive continuous improvement of production processes.
5. Train staff, setters, and operators.
6. Facilitate effective collaboration across departments.
7. Advise management on engineering projects and new moulds.
8. Ensure smooth and timely production.
9. Manage projects and deliverables.
10. Assist with sales, financial forecasting, and projections.
11. Support new client acquisition and maintain existing clients.
12. Streamline throughput and accelerate turnaround times.
13. Manage staff and human resources, including leave, working hours, and personal development programs.
14. Draft standard operating procedures, integrate quality systems, and oversee procurement.
15. Conduct cost analyses and determine pricing.

Quality Control Duties

1. Implement and maintain the QC system.
2. Approve incoming materials by verifying specifications, conducting visual and measurement tests, and rejecting unacceptable materials.
3. Approve in-process production by confirming specifications, conducting tests, and communicating adjustments.
4. Approve finished products through specifications and testing.
5. Manage rework processes and documentation.
6. Record inspection results and maintain logs.
7. Ensure measurement equipment is operational and maintained.
8. Maintain a safe work environment in compliance with standards and regulations.

Requirements

• Matric certificate plus at least 2 years of experience in Quality Control.
• Own transport.
• Proficient in MS Office and computer skills.
• Understanding of manufacturing methods and procedures.
