Salary / CTC: Market related (basic and commission) – dependent on current earnings, qualifications, and experience

Report to: Sales Manager

Job Summary:

Our client is seeking a dynamic individual to join the team as a Counter Sales Representative. The Counter Salesperson is responsible for assisting walk-in customers, handling requests for quotations, invoices, credit notes, and customer inquiries.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Greet and assist walk-in customers with respect and professionalism.
  • Know all products and advise customers on new and special items.
  • Satisfy customer needs by providing accurate product information.
  • Handle exchanges, returns, and customer complaints effectively.
  • Ensure invoices are correct and associated with the proper documentation, such as manuals, order registration, lay-buys, and cash sales.
  • Show products and alternatives, and submit out-of-stock requests to the order clerk.
  • Use the correct telesales codes.
  • Provide same-day quotes and follow up regularly.
  • Coordinate with store staff to keep racks and displays tidy.
  • Maintain a clean and organized counter and display area at all times.
  • Act as the supervisor at the counter, resolving issues and ensuring product knowledge and display standards are upheld.
Requirements:
  • Strong customer service skills.
  • Knowledge of safety products is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good work ethic and adherence to procedures.
  • Presentable and professional appearance.
  • Attention to detail and confidence in approaching clients.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 1 year experience as a salesperson or in sales/telemarketing roles.
