Key Job Responsibilities:
- Ensure that assets bar codes are allocated and issued to business managers timeously.
- Assist the Group Assets Controller with daily queries, capturing, issuing asset tags to business managers, and updating the ERP system to ensure the fixed asset register is complete.
- Assist in ensuring that asset verifications and asset counts are performed timeously.
- Assist the Group Assets Controller in liaising with assets stores to ensure all required processes are completed prior to verification.
- Assist with daily queries and processing miscellaneous transactions to ensure inventory accounts are accurate and complete.
- Assist in opening and closing Ship to locations to ensure control in the system.
- Add and update quantities for Min/Max System to ensure control and adherence to processes.
- Provide advice and support to business units on asset and inventory matters, develop SOPs to support processes, and ensure compliance with policies, PFMA, Treasure regulations, GRAP, and IFRS through regular monitoring.
- Liaise with assets stores to ensure processes are completed before stock takes; collaborate with asset and inventory data management on stock and asset issues, extract reports to ensure data accuracy for management.
- Manage opening and closing of asset stores according to NHLS needs.
- Address RTM-related items as per the audit Risk register to resolve queries.
- Perform monthly asset and inventory account reconciliations to ensure data accuracy.
- Perform ad-hoc duties as needed to align with NHLS processes and procedures.
Minimum Requirements & Key Competencies:
- Grade 12 (NQF Level 4)
- 3-year Diploma in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration (desirable)
- Valid driver's license [code EB]
- 1 to 2 years' experience in Assets and Inventory Administration
- Experience with reconciliations, Fixed Assets & Inventory
- Knowledge of Treasury Regulations, PFMA, GRAP, and related acts
- Oracle ERP experience (desirable)
- Aptitude for numbers
- Computer literacy (Excel & Oracle advantageous)
- Planning, organizing, and time management skills
