SUMMARY :

SAICA Trainee Accountant

Our client, an experienced firm of Chartered and Professional Accountants and Auditors, is currently seeking a SAICA Article Clerk based in Stellenbosch. The ideal candidate should possess a tertiary qualification in Accounting.

POSITION INFO : Minimum Requirements

• Matric.
• Essential: Tertiary qualification in Accounting.
• Vehicle and valid Driver’s License.
• Knowledge of relevant Accounting Software.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Aid in the improvement and enhancement of Accounting Systems.
2. Offer accounting assistance to operational managers by providing necessary analysis and reports.
3. Gather, organise, and analyse basic accounting and financial data.
4. Implement necessary accounting adjustments via appropriate journal entries.
5. Review financial statements and transactions to ensure accuracy, completeness, and adherence to accounting standards.
6. Input accounting entries using relevant journals.
7. Engage in accounting projects as a proactive team member.
8. Prepare precise accounting information for clients efficiently, adhering to regulations and agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs) under supervision.
9. Possess familiarity with different accounting standards such as IFRS, FRS101, and Solvency II MVBS.
10. Provide support for fixed income portfolio accounting.
