Role Overview
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Business Analyst to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will support the CEO by analysing data to inform strategic decision-making and enhance business processes. Your responsibilities will include identifying opportunities for operational improvements and ensuring ongoing compliance with relevant legislation. Your analytical and problem-solving skills will be essential in driving strategic initiatives and delivering exceptional value to our clients.
Key Responsibilities:
1.Requirements Gathering
·Collaborate across teams to elicit and document business requirements.
·Understand and translate business needs into functional specifications.
2.Process Analysis & Improvement
·Analyse existing business processes to identify inefficiencies or areas for enhancement.
·Develop and propose optimised workflows to improve operational efficiency and client satisfaction.
3.Data Analysis & Reporting
·Use analytical tools to interpret data, identify trends, and inform business decisions.
·Create reports and dashboards to communicate findings and performance metrics to stakeholders.
·Establish best practices for data management to ensure data integrity and accuracy, including the integration of data from various systems.
4.Project Management Support
·Assist in planning and executing projects for timely delivery and alignment with business goals.
·Coordinate with service providers to monitor project progress and resolve any issues that arise.
5.Regulatory Compliance & Risk Management
·Ensure compliance of business processes and technology with financial regulations and standards.
·Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to safeguard the organisation's interests.
Key Capabilities:
1.Analytical Thinking
·Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
·Strong ability to simplify complex problems and derive actionable insights from data.
2.Technical Proficiency
·Familiarity with business analysis tools (e.g., MS Visio).
·Understanding of operational systems used for CRM, reporting, etc.
·Comfortable with data querying, visualisation, and business intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI).
·Familiarity with system integrations, APIs, and workflows.
3.Stakeholder Management and Communication Skills
·A collaborative mindset with strong relationship-building skills across teams and service providers.
·Ability to manage conflicting priorities among diverse stakeholders.
·Strong communication and presentation skills to simplify complex information for diverse audiences.
4.Adaptability
·Flexibility to adapt to changing business environments and priorities, with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
5.Project Management:
·Experience in managing small-to-medium projects within larger initiatives.
·Track deliverables, timelines, and risks using agile or waterfall methods.
Qualifications and Experience:
·Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field.
·3+ years of experience in a Business Analyst role, preferably within the financial services industry.
·Familiarity with financial concepts, including financial planning, products and portfolio management.
·Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements.
