Job description

The financial manager will have a team of accountants and clerks reporting to them.

They will oversee the daily accounting process of the business as well as be responsible for the monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.

As a financial manager, you will be expected to provide a high standard of financial and business reports and analysis that will assist the executives in making key decisions for the business.

POSITION INFO
Role Responsibilities:
  1. Oversee the daily processing for the finance team.
  2. Review monthly reconciliations.
  3. Treasury management.
  4. Month end process completion (including monthly journals preparations).
  5. Monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting.
  6. Prepare and run annual audit and financial statements.
  7. Process improvement.
  8. Ad hoc projects as assigned by the Managing Director.
Qualifications:
  1. Matric (required), bachelor's degree in accounting or finance required.
  2. SAIPA, CIMA advantage.
Experience:
  1. Strong experience in financial analysis and reporting.
  2. Advanced Excel skills, ability to work with lookups and pivot tables.
  3. SAGE and Pastel Partner experience.
  4. Ability to develop financial and operational models.
Person Requirements:
  1. Strong organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  2. Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  3. Self-motivated to learn new concepts and participate in new projects.
  4. Have a flair for numbers, work well with people, aggressively anticipate impacts of workload/issues to team deadlines, and have a very positive work attitude.
