Job description

CLIENT in the MINING INDUSTRY requires the services of a GENERAL MANAGER at their plant in the LIMPOPO AREA as soon as possible.

POSITION INFO :
  1. Responsibilities:
    • Oversee on-site mine development in collaboration with the project team.
    • Advise on appropriate strategies for operations.
    • Develop systems to achieve strategic goals, eliminating non-value-adding practices.
    • Lead organizational change, including structures, information systems, processes, and culture.
    • Collaborate on production and profitability objectives.
    • Champion product value and quality, protecting resources like cash flow, assets, core competencies, morale, reputation, technologies, and systems.
    • Lead operations to meet national standards, involving risk analysis, scenario planning, benchmarking, and best practices.
    • Report to stakeholders.
  2. Requirements:
    • Mine Manager’s Certificate of Competency.
    • 8 years of experience as a 3.1 legal appointment and 5 years as a 4.1.
    • Chrome / PGM experience.
    • Open Cast Mine experience.
    • Management Development Program beneficial.
    • In-depth knowledge of mining operations and processes.
