Business Development and Sales Executive

Cotecna is a leading provider of testing, inspection, and certification services. Founded in Switzerland, Cotecna started as a family business and has grown into a global player with over [number] employees and offices in more than 50 countries.

The Business Development and Sales Executive will be responsible for establishing a platform for sales activities related to certification, inspection, and bespoke service delivery to operations and business development teams.

Main Accountabilities
  1. Obtain new clients and convert these into increased business for Verification of Conformity.
  2. Ensure a robust pipeline of opportunities.
  3. Maintain networks with new and existing clients.
  4. Research and build relationships with potential clients.
  5. Set up meetings between client decision-makers and company's practice leaders / Principals.
  6. Plan approaches and pitches.
  7. Collaborate with the team to develop proposals tailored to client needs, concerns, and objectives.
  8. Work with technical staff and colleagues to meet customer needs.
  9. Design and execute sales campaigns.
  10. Conduct sales forecasts and analysis, presenting findings to senior management.
  11. Attend industry events, such as association meetings and conferences, and provide feedback on market trends.
  12. Consult with mid and senior management on business trends to develop new services, products, and channels.
  13. Identify opportunities for campaigns, services, and distribution channels to increase sales.
  14. Utilize market and competitor knowledge to develop the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators.
Qualifications, Experience, and Technical Skills
  1. An applicable post-secondary qualification is advantageous.
  2. Thorough knowledge of Verification of Conformity programmes.
  3. Previous experience in a similar role.
  4. Ability to analyze data and sales statistics to generate positive results.
  5. Compliance with all non-compete and non-solicitation agreements.
