Position: Senior Financial Controller
Working Schedule: 9a-5p CET (Central Europe Time)
Salary Range: $4,500-$5,000 USD Monthly (the final salary will be determined by the candidate's level of experience and at the discretion of the client)

We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Financial Controller to lead and optimize our financial operations for an international company within finance and investments. This senior role is instrumental in driving financial accuracy, ensuring compliance, and contributing to high-level financial planning and decision-making. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial leadership and a proactive approach to process improvement and strategic financial management.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee and manage all aspects of financial reporting, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of financial statements and management reports.
• Lead the transition of the external bookkeeping function in-house and establish a robust financial control environment.
• Develop, implement, and continuously enhance internal controls, financial policies, and risk management frameworks.
• Provide strategic financial insights by analyzing financial data, identifying trends, risks, and opportunities for growth.
• Manage budgeting, forecasting, and key financial performance metrics to support executive decision-making.
• Ensure compliance with US GAAP, tax regulations, and all applicable financial reporting standards.
• Oversee and coordinate external audits, tax filings, and financial regulatory submissions.
• Act as a key financial advisor to senior leadership, providing recommendations to improve profitability and operational efficiency.
• Lead finance-related projects, including system implementations, process automation, and cost optimization initiatives.
• Key contributor in the preparation of consolidated monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
• Stay updated on changes in accounting regulations and consolidation methodologies.
• Experience with Investor Relations is an advantage.
• Act as a key financial advisor to senior leadership in preparing investor presentations and reports.
• Assist in calculating Net Asset Value, capital calls, and dividends.

Qualifications and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in financial management, accounting, or a similar senior-level role.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA or CMA preferred) or equivalent experience in lieu of degree.
• In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, tax regulations, and financial compliance.
• Proficiency in financial systems such as Xero, Dext, Business Central, Join (for consolidation).
• Proven ability to lead financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting processes in a complex business environment.
• Proven ability and experience with investments.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a data-driven approach to financial decision-making.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to embrace change, implement new technologies, and drive process improvements.
• Must be detail-oriented and understand what drives numbers.
• Quick thinking and the ability to make decisions.
• Integrity check on all information that comes through your desk.
• Working hands-on and getting the work done independently.
