About the School

The School of Science and Technology Maidstone (SST), opened in September 2020, is an exciting new free school with state-of-the-art facilities. We are highly popular within the local community and have been oversubscribed. SST was graded OUTSTANDING in all categories by Ofsted in January 2023, reflecting our commitment to excellence.

Role Overview

We are recruiting a Learning Mentor to support pupils individually or in groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning, raise aspirations, and reach their full potential. The role includes providing one-to-one support and group sessions to aid cognitive and social development.

Candidate Requirements
  • Ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and maintain confidentiality
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel
  • Excellent typing skills and professional telephone manner
Details

This is a term-time post, 37 hours per week, 38 weeks per year. The salary starts at £21,908, pro rata to full-time of £26,256 VIAT 5.
