Senior Graphic Designer Logistics Industry East Rand
The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for conceptualising and delivering high-quality creative assets across both digital and print platforms. This includes a broad range of visual content that supports brand strategy, internal communication, marketing campaigns, and business objectives. The role encompasses, but not limited to, the design of digital materials such as presentations, interactive forms, social media content, motion graphics, website elements, and other multimedia assets that enhance user engagement and brand presence online.
Print responsibilities extend to, but are not limited to, the development of editorial layouts, marketing collateral, event and campaign materials, signage, internal and vehicle branding all executed with an emphasis on creativity, brand alignment, and production excellence.
This role requires a balance of strategic thinking and hands-on design skills, with a strong understanding of how visual communication influences perception, engagement, and business performance.
Minimum requirements :
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or equivalent.
- 7+ years experience in an agency or corporate environment.
- Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After Effects).
- Proficient in Microsoft 365 (PowerPoint, Outlook, Word, Excel).
- Good understanding of UX / UI design principles.
- Familiar with animation principles and the creation of motion-based assets for internal and external use.
- Strong grasp of design principles, branding, and layout
- Skilled in designing for both print and digital platforms, with production-ready accuracy
- Knowledge of corporate identity and multi-brand management
- Understanding of print production, signage, and environmental design
Job purpose :
Project Management & Execution -
- Lead the full lifecycle of creative projects across various mediums and platforms, including briefing, conceptualisation, production, approvals, and implementation.
- Proactively prepare project timelines and manage design capacity to ensure on-time delivery without compromising quality.
Work closely with internal stakeholders to align projects with business needs and objectives.
- Liaise with external suppliers to ensure accurate execution of branded materials.
- Ensure that creative output aligns with campaign goals, messaging strategies, and expectations.
- Conduct post-project reviews to identify opportunities for process or creative improvement.
- Review and refine all design assets to ensure quality control and consistency.
Brand & Visual Identity Oversight -
- Champion brand integrity across all touchpoints ensuring every visual execution reflects the tone, personality, and professionalism of the company.
- Maintain and evolve the master brand while keeping visual cohesion.
- Develop brand toolkits, design systems, and usage guidelines for internal and external teams.
- Audit existing brand touchpoints and propose updates to modernise, improve clarity and consistency.
- Plan and design branded spaces for events and exhibitions, translating brand offering into the physical environments.
- Set the creative tone for the department, encouraging originality, critical thinking, and solution- focused design.
- Serve as the Marketing teams escalation point for creative challenges, providing hands-on support when needed to unblock workflows.
- Stay current on design trends, tools, and emerging techsharing insights with the wider team.
- Production & Technical Execution -
- Prepare and package artwork for all formats (print, digital, signage, large-format and packaging) ensuring each file meets the exact specs.
- Collaborate with print vendors and fabricators to ensure the technical viability of all production artwork.
- Oversee press-checks or production milestones where needed to ensure the accuracy of colour, sizing, and material output.
- Provide technical recommendations on material types, finishes, and formats depending on the project's objective and budget.
- Maintain organised asset libraries, version control, and brand collateral archives for team-wide access and use.
Digital & UX / UI Design -
- Conceptualise, wireframe, and design user interfaces for websites, internal platforms, and any digital landing pages.
- Conduct visual and usability audits of existing digital platforms and propose design improvements for clarity and engagement.
- Collaborate with cross functional teams to align UI / UX outputs with functionality, accessibility, and brand identity.
