Job description

Used Car Sales Manager - Gauteng, Northcliff #DriveYourCareerForward as a Used Car Sales Manager with a leading brand.

Are you a seasoned Sales Executive ready to step up, or an experienced Manager looking for your next challenge? Our client, in Northcliff, is searching for a dynamic and results-driven used car sales manager to lead their team.

This is your chance to join a reputable group and present a fast-selling top vehicle brand. The used car sales manager drives the sales team to meet targets and KPIs while upholding brand and group standards.

This role requires a positive, hands-on leader who can motivate and develop a successful team, achieving sales targets and KPIs for the used car department within set guidelines and with the drive to meet targets – units, profits, CSI / CCS. Remuneration: R 30,000 pm, plus performance-based incentives. Benefits include Provident Fund, Medical Aid, Company Vehicle, and Fuel.

Duties include:

  1. Managing & overseeing sales: Develop and implement effective sales plans to stay ahead of competitors, ensuring increased market share, pre-owned sales, and profitability (1st & 2nd Gross) as per shareholders and manufacturer requirements.
  2. Marketing: Develop and implement effective marketing strategies for increased customer interaction.
  3. Leadership: Create a team culture focused on customer experience and excellence. Motivate, lead, and coach the sales team to exceed goals and targets.
  4. Customer Care: Build and maintain customer relationships by ensuring the highest level of customer care.
  5. Pre-Owned Stock Management: Ensure optimal stock purchases based on accurate residual values to support the new car department. Manage aged stock effectively.
  6. Performance Management: Coach team members through constructive feedback and mutual productivity plans for effective performance.
  7. Drive continuous improvement across all sales environment aspects.
  8. Financial Management: Oversee financial and budgeting aspects of the department, including forecasting, OEM, floorplan, expenses, and stock holding.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 3 years+ automotive sales management experience at a franchise dealership.
  • Experience with high-volume brands.
  • Pre-owned sales experience and residual value knowledge.
  • Strong management and leadership skills.
  • Ambitious, self-driven, and target-oriented.
  • Leads management skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Result-driven with negotiation and deal-closing skills.
  • Problem-solving abilities.
  • Marketing knowledge.
  • Proficiency in MS Office and Autobid.
  • Open to relocation if required.
  • Valid driver's license.
