WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

The successful incumbent will be responsible for business / customer accounts across all industries that use dispersions, resins, and additives applicable to the business unit's portfolio.

The target market broadly includes the Coatings sector, comprising Paper, Decorative, Industrial, and Auto coating segments.

Responsibilities include :

Acquire new customers and develop new applications.

Understand customer needs and requirements to find suitable solutions.

Maintain and grow customer relationships.

Prepare and manage budgets in line with regional strategies and Business Management.

Monitor sales budgets and implement corrective actions as needed.

Provide accurate and timely reports (e.g., visit reports, monthly reports, forecasts, opportunity pipelines) according to SBU requirements.

Guide and support relevant Customer Service Officers (CSOs).

Gather market intelligence and trends.

Create, implement, and update sales strategies considering SBU strategies and local / regional characteristics.

Support the implementation of cross-regional projects sponsored by the Business Unit.

Ensure compliance with BASF guidelines and procedures.

Coordinate product and customer interests to foster long-term loyalty.

WHAT YOU OFFER

Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or a related field.

At least 5 years of experience in Sales and / or Marketing within the coatings industry.

Experience managing businesses across African countries (West, East, and Southern Africa).

Proficiency with digital tools such as Salesforce.

Experience in a multinational company is advantageous.
