Business Development Manager
This is a full-time hybrid role located in Johannesburg.
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating leads, building relationships, closing deals with clients, and growing the CSP and MSP segments of the client.
This role involves identifying and developing new business opportunities, fostering relationships with potential clients, and enhancing the company's presence in the CSP and MSP markets.
They will also be accountable for researching market needs and negotiating contracts.
The role allows for flexibility and some work from home is acceptable.
Responsibilities
- Market Research and Strategy Development: Conduct thorough market research to identify potential CSP and MSP clients. Develop and implement effective sales strategies tailored to these markets. Stay updated with industry trends, the competitive landscape, and emerging technologies.
- Client Acquisition and Relationship Management: Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and social media. Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with CSPs and MSPs. Understand client needs and offer tailored solutions. Achieve growth and meet sales targets by managing the sales pipeline effectively. Present sales, revenue, and expense reports along with realistic forecasts to the management team. Coordinate with marketing to drive lead generation.
- Product Knowledge: Develop a deep understanding of the clients' products and services relevant to CSPs and MSPs. Educate potential clients on how our services meet their needs.
- Collaboration and Teamwork: Collaborate with internal teams, including marketing, support, and product development, to achieve sales goals. Provide feedback from clients to inform product refinements or new offerings.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate contracts and close agreements to maximize profits. Ensure the timely delivery of solutions aligned with customer needs and objectives.

Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sales, business development, or account management, especially within CSP and MSP sectors.
- Strong understanding of cloud computing, managed services, and IT infrastructure.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of IT solutions, cybersecurity trends, and CRM systems.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
- Additional beneficial skills include experience with public sector accounts, knowledge of local market trends, and fluency in multiple languages.
