Job description

Project Administrator position available in Boksburg.

The Project Administrator is responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of technical and production-related projects within the Operations team.

This role plays a critical part in ensuring project documentation, procurement, interdepartmental collaboration, and client communications are effectively managed to meet project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

The position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual capable of managing multiple workflows, maintaining accurate documentation, and providing consistent support throughout the project lifecycle.

Salary: R15 000 – R19 000 per month.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage project records in ERP and project management systems.
  • Generate and track project documentation, including Bills of Materials (BOMs), Job Instructions, Assembly Instructions, and Order Confirmations.
  • Process picking slips and purchase orders; follow up on component deliveries and supplier timelines.
  • Track and report on production milestones, engineering deliverables, and special project requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date project data, ensuring alignment with production schedules.
  • Provide weekly client updates and communicate any delays or risks.
  • Ensure all project documentation is properly filed, ISO-compliant, and audit-ready.
  • Schedule and minute project-related meetings, including internal reviews, client kick-offs, and inspections.
  • Coordinate with logistics, expediting, and document control teams for seamless handovers from production to dispatch.
  • Assist the Operations Team in resolving project scheduling conflicts and internal bottlenecks.

Minimum Requirements:

  • 2–3 years’ experience in project administration, production coordination, or operations support.
  • Relevant diploma or certificate in Administration, Project Management, Operations Management, or a related field (advantageous).
  • Proficiency in ERP systems, Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong knowledge of project lifecycle processes and production support functions.
  • Familiarity with ISO 9001 document control procedures (beneficial).
