PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Retail Store Manager to lead our team and drive the success of our Econofoods Retail Store. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of achieving sales targets, delivering exceptional customer service, and effectively managing store operations. The Store Manager will be responsible for all operational aspects of the store, including reducing risk and stock losses, maintaining world-class store standards, and leading the team to meet and exceed business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Drive and promote sales by ensuring world-class customer service.
  2. Maintain excellent customer service standards at all times.
  3. Ensure outstanding store standards by following company merchandising standards, promoting stock, managing stock and merchandising to optimize product availability and presentation, and ensuring correct pricing.
  4. Assist in stock receiving, stock counts, managing expiry dates, and stock condition.
  5. Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team while fostering the company's HO HOLA culture.
  6. Handle cash management, including preparing floats, daily banking, and cashier support.
  7. Manage team performance through training, coaching, and performance reviews.
  8. Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring hygiene and food safety standards are met.
  9. Analyze store sales data to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
  10. Oversee store operations, including opening and closing procedures and security.
  11. Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and stakeholders.
