Job description

Job Title: Departmental Head: Technology and Digital Product Development

Location: Gauteng, Pretoria

Deadline: June 15, 2025

Key Performance Areas
  1. Develop and lead the technology strategy to oversee the use of new technology for the FSCA.
  2. Establish a technological vision for the FSCA and lead its technological development.
  3. Establish and communicate requirements for acquiring technology applications, services, systems, and equipment; negotiate and manage vendor contracts.
  4. Participate in managing the FSCA’s innovation process, from ideation to successful implementation.
  5. Lead product and engineering teams on the development of new products and enhancements.
  6. Develop, track, and control annual operating and capital budgets for purchasing, staffing, and operations.
  7. Build solid relationships with stakeholders and senior management.
  8. Ensure the appropriate and optimal development and use of technologies through effective communication with employees and stakeholders.
  9. Collaborate with business owners and the CIO to align technology solutions with business needs.
  10. Support executive management in adopting innovative technologies to improve efficiency and performance.
Requirements
  1. A BSc/BCom in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, with at least 10 years of relevant experience in product development and ICT service transformation, including 5 years in management.
  2. Experience in driving enterprise architecture, developing technology strategies, and leading software engineering teams for digital capabilities.
