Job description

Purpose of the Job:

The main purpose of this position is to run the personalization and mailing machines on the production floor, ensuring that products are produced in accordance with goals and timelines, including performing quality checks.

Key Performance Areas (Duties & Responsibilities):

The key responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to:

  • Running personalization and mailing machines.
  • Conducting quality checks at intervals to ensure products meet specified requirements.
  • Packaging and fulfilling completed jobs as per customer requirements and specifications.
  • Performing autonomous maintenance.
  • Recording production stats and job cards accurately during the shift.
  • Working shifts as required.
  • Reporting machine errors to the Production team lead.
  • Following all policies and procedures.
  • Participating in training and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Complying with PCI, ISO, 5S, and all Health and Safety requirements.
  • Cleaning and maintaining the production area.
  • Maintaining quality service by following organizational standards.
  • Communicating and cooperating with leaders and colleagues.
  • Striving to achieve job goals with a focus on Quality, Trust, and Security at all times.
Additional Requirements for the “Yes4Youth” Learnership Program:
  • Candidates should be unemployed at the time of contracting.
  • Must be between 18 and 34 years old.
  • Must meet the definition of “Black People” as per the Broad-Based Black Empowerment Act 53 of 2003, as amended.
  • Must not have previously participated in a “Yes4Youth” program.
Minimum Academic Qualifications:
  • Matric Certificate / NQF Level 4 certificate or equivalent.
Professional Experience:
  • 1-2 years or more of professional experience in a similar role.
  • Experience with plastic cards is an advantage.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Willingness to work shifts.
  • Attention to detail and ability to focus on routine work.
  • Highly self-motivated.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and Outlook.
