Job Summary

Job Description
  1. Execute cash & related transactions: Balance, control, and manage the cash float; dispense and receive cash, cheques, and other financial instruments; verify identification and account details; report suspicious activities; adhere to policies; escalate transactions beyond teller limits; record transactions accurately; reconcile cash; prepare audit reports; ensure compliance with SARB minimum requirements.
  2. Customer Service: Advise customers on transaction processes; resolve inquiries; explain procedures and security requirements; handle complaints; guide on transaction documentation; ensure friendly and professional interaction; maintain appearance and workstation standards; promote digital channels; market products; educate on internet kiosks.
  3. Sales and Lead Identification: Identify sales leads; explain campaign details; use sales tools effectively; meet sales targets; follow up on leads.
  4. Compliance and Risk Management: Secure the branch safe; conduct cash counts; maintain transaction records; verify information; follow cash management procedures; stay updated on policies; prevent fraud; report suspicious transactions; manage security items; adhere to safety procedures; upskill regularly; follow end-of-day procedures and mandates.
